Willow Wattle
The potential for bank erosion in front of this home ( left & neighbour right)
has been eliminated by an extensive planting of 'Willow Wattle'.
Willows are planted vertically and then horizontally to create a living retaining wall.
The banks are terraced and the willows create large root systems to hold the bank.
The project was completed 3 years ago and includes an irrigation system.
