Welcome To Springs
The Springs sits along the historic Savary Island Road on the sheltered north side of the island. The road was cut in 1930 to carry guests from the wharf to the brand-new Royal Savary Hotel, and it ran across the front of many of the north-shore lots on the western half of Savary. A washout near the Springs in 2001 closed it to cars, so it’s now passable only by bike or on foot, and Vancouver Boulevard took over as the main route. That left this stretch quieter than ever.
Cottages here look north across the water to Cortes Island, the Copelands, the Malaspina Peninsula, and Desolation Sound, and the summer sunsets are hard to beat. Beach access is close by, both at the Springs itself and along the Mermaid Trail down Henderson Road. The mid-island interior lots nearby are only a short walk from Mermaid Beach and the Nature Trust lands.

About Springs
The original Savary Island Road has been closed to cars since the 2001 washout, so it’s open to bikes and walkers only. Vancouver Boulevard is now the main route through, which keeps this stretch of the island especially quiet.
They face north and go a long way: Cortes Island, the Copelands, the Malaspina Peninsula, and Desolation Sound, with some lovely summer sunsets across the water.
It’s close and varied. You can get down to the water at the Springs itself or take the Mermaid Trail along Henderson Road, which leads to Mermaid Beach on the north shore.
Savary is narrow, so interior lots are never far from the water. Many sit close to Mermaid Beach and the Nature Trust lands, and they tend to be a more affordable, sheltered, treed option.
